Anna Rosa is a dynamic performer, active as a recitalist, concerto soloist, chamber and orchestral musician. Her performance schedule has taken her to prestigious venues around the world; from Manchester’s Bridgewater Hall to concert halls across Europe, India and Egypt, playing as soloist with the European Union Chamber Orchestra.
She regularly gives solo recitals and collaborates with award winning chamber groups in festivals throughout the country to high critical acclaim. “Enthralling playing that captivated the audience” (King’s Lynn Festival).
Her interest in contemporary music has led to invitations to perform as soloist at the International Stockhausen Festival at the Onassis Cultural Centre and at the Minimalist(s) Festival, as well as performing with the Manchester based contemporary ensemble ‘Psappha’.
As an orchestral player, Anna Rosa has performed and been an extra player with leading orchestras, including the BBC Philharmonic, Hallé, Ulster Orchestra, National Symphony and Malta Philharmonic. She has held the position of Principal Flute with the Chamber Opera of the Greek National Opera in Athens. With interests spanning all musical genres, she has played for West End tours, performed on recordings for pop artists such as ‘Flux Pavilion’, and often performs on baroque flute with various period orchestras and ensembles throughout the UK.
Anna Rosa is a passionate and dedicated teacher. She has taught flute at Salford University and has worked closely with the Hallé Orchestra Education Department for many years, leading creative workshops and performances in schools across the North of England.
Anna Rosa studied at the Royal Northern College of Music (MMus, BMus) graduating with a Distinction. Her studies were kindly supported by a full scholarship from the Onassis Foundation and the RNCM. |
