I aim to help students achieve their goals without losing sight of the fact that making music is fun. I adapt lessons to suit the pupil’s playing, targets and style.
I have taught privately and classes of all ages and abilities. I have worked for music services, private academies and schools. I have supported young musicians through organisations such as the Purcell School for young musicians and National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain. I enjoy leading workshops and exciting music events for all ages, bringing music and creativity to new people.
I am an experienced flute and piccolo player who specialised in education and outreach through my music college postgraduate and bachelor degrees. My teaching benefits from vast performance experience; I have played in a range of orchestras and ensembles in venues in Vienna, Germany, London and the Midlands as well as taking part in workshops and masterclasses with the BBC Philharmonic, the Hallé, the CBSO and many leading flautists. I have played at weddings, a wide variety of concerts and in function bands.
As an associate music teacher in a secondary school, I have private slots available during weekends and some weekday evenings. |
