Asheville NC flutist Kate Steinbeck is recognized around the globe as a unique interpreter of wide-ranging repertoire, an innovative music producer, and an enthusiastic teacher and coach. She directs Pan Harmonia, a repertory company she founded in 2000 and has produced over 450 concerts and 2 albums. She is passionate about connecting people to music!
Kate earned a BM from Baldwin-Wallace College studying with William Hebert (Cleveland Orchestra) and a Master’s Degree at the San Francisco Conservatory as a student of Tim Day (San Francisco Symphony). A former Fulbright scholar to Belgium, Ms. Steinbeck won a First Prize in chamber music from the Belgian Royal Conservatory in Liège and thereafter spent several years performing and teaching in Germany. Prior to moving to Asheville, she spent a decade free-lancing in San Francisco and was featured on many of the Bay Area’s most prestigious concert series. |
