Leona Thames is a graduate of the University of Toronto Faculty of Music where she received her Bachelor of Music Degree in Flute specializing in music education. She has played in various ensembles around Toronto such as the Toronto Youth Wind Orchestra and has played in the pit orchestra for such shows as Oliver, Into the Woods, and Bye Bye Birdie. She comes from the studio of Douglas Stewart, the principal flautist of the COC Orchestra as well Esprit Orchestra. Since graduating she has taught students both privately and at the Long & McQuade School of Music.
